Afghanistan and Bangladesh set for one-off Test in UAE in October 2026

Afghanistan and Bangladesh set for UAE showdown

Afghanistan and Bangladesh are scheduled to clash in a one-off Test match in the United Arab Emirates in October 2026, with both teams looking to break their 1-1 head-to-head deadlock in the longest format.

The one-off encounter marks another significant red-ball fixture between the two Asian rivals. In their two previous longest-format meetings, the sides are level at 1-1, setting up a decider in the neutral venue.

Both Afghanistan and Bangladesh will be looking to gain the upper hand and claim a series lead when they meet in the UAE later this month, with the evenly poised rivalry adding extra intrigue to the contest.
