Bournemouth set new Premier League attendance record of 12,004 as Evanilson fires them past Sunderland
Record crowd as new corners open at the Vitality Stadium
Bournemouth have set a new club Premier League attendance record of 12,004 at the Vitality Stadium, with the figure recorded during Sunday's 2-0 win over Sunderland.
The north-west and south-east corners of the stadium opened for the first time on Thursday night, when the Cherries beat Austrian side Sturm Graz 3-0 in the Europa League. That match was the first European home game at the south coast ground.
The stadium has grown in capacity with the addition of new seating, part of an ongoing revitalisation project.

Chief outlines stadium plans
Writing in the matchday programme, Cherries chief Jim Frevola said: "It has been great to see the two corners open and supporters enjoying the additional space and improved facilities, even though there are still some finishing touches and outstanding items for us to address.
"Behind the South Stand, the enabling works and piling operations are continuing. While much of the work takes place away from the immediate matchday experience, it is essential to delivering our longer-term ambitions for the stadium.
"I am excited about what lies ahead. We know there is still plenty to do, but each stage brings us closer to creating a stadium that better serves our supporters, our players and the wider club."
Evanilson leads comfortable win
On the pitch, Evanilson scored and contributed an assist as Bournemouth comfortably beat 10-man Sunderland 2-0. The Brazilian got himself stuck in early, unselfishly teeing up Marcus Tavernier, who nodded in a sixth-minute opener.
Evanilson was then dragged down by central defender Kevin Danso, who was dismissed in the 17th minute. The Cherries perhaps would have wanted more from their man advantage, but Evanilson capitalised on an error to double the scoring three minutes after the break, marking a career century of goals.
