ACA Announces North East Rising Cup 2026: Under-15 Girls Tournament to Boost Regional Talent
In a move to foster young female cricketing talent in Northeast India, the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has announced the North East Rising Cup 2026 (U-15 Girls). This premier regional tournament will take place in Guwahati from April 19 to April 27, 2026, under the guidance of the ACA.
The competition will bring together eight teams from the region, divided into two groups for a structured league format. Group A includes Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Nagaland, while Group B comprises Tripura, Sikkim, Meghalaya, and Mizoram. Matches will be played in a 35-over-a-side format, progressing from league stages to semi-finals and a grand final.
Games will be hosted at two venues: ACA Ground in Fulung, North Guwahati, and Judges Field in Guwahati. The tournament kicks off on April 19 with Assam facing Manipur and Nagaland taking on Arunachal Pradesh. The finale is slated for April 27 at Judges Field.
This initiative highlights the ACA's commitment to grassroots development and promoting women's cricket in the Northeast, providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and potentially advance to higher levels of the sport.
