USA international Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy has been banned from all cricket for eight years after an ICC anti-corruption tribunal found him guilty of three breaches of the governing body's anti-corruption code, in another damaging corruption case to hit American cricket.

The suspension has been backdated to November 21, 2025 — the date on which Akhilesh was provisionally suspended — and will run until November 2033, a sanction that effectively ends his career at the highest level.

Charges stem from the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10

The case relates to the 2025 edition of the Abu Dhabi T10, where the ICC acted as the Designated Anti-Corruption Official (DACO) on behalf of the Emirates Cricket Board.

Three breaches proven by the tribunal

Akhilesh was found guilty of breaching Article 2.1.1 of the Code, which relates to attempting to fix, contrive or otherwise improperly influence the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of matches.

He was also found guilty under Article 2.1.4 for soliciting, inducing, enticing, instructing, persuading, encouraging or intentionally facilitating another participant to breach Article 2.1.1.

In addition, the tribunal found him guilty of violating Article 2.4.7 after determining that he obstructed the investigation by deleting data and messages from his mobile device that could have been relevant to the inquiry.

Second USA international sanctioned this year

Akhilesh represented the USA in four T20Is, all of which came in April 2025. He is the second USA international to fall foul of the anti-corruption code this year.

Earlier, batter Aaron Jones was sanctioned and provisionally suspended for five breaches of the ICC Code of Conduct during his participation in Barbados' Bim10 tournament in the 2023-24 season.
