Adam Hose signs new three-year Worcestershire contract

Worcestershire batter Adam Hose has signed a new three-year contract to stay with the county until the end of the 2029 season.

The 34-year-old joined the Pears from rivals Warwickshire before the 2023 season. He has scored more than 2,400 runs in 46 first-class appearances and has played 96 times in all formats. He was made captain of the T20 side halfway through this year's competition.

Hose signed a three-year deal towards the end of 2024 that was due to run out next summer. The new agreement extends his stay at New Road well beyond that date.

A career-best season in 2025

Hose has struck two hundreds and 14 half-centuries for Worcestershire, including a career-best 266 against Hampshire in 2025.

Injury setback and a fifth-place finish

Worcestershire finished fifth in Division Two in 2026. Hose scored 638 runs with one century and five scores above 50 in the campaign. He spent six months recovering from a serious ankle injury suffered while playing in The Hundred in August 2025.

Club ambitions

Hose said the deal was "a pretty easy deal to sort" and set out the club's ambitions for the coming seasons.

"There's absolutely no reason why we shouldn't be setting our stall out to be back in Division One this time next year.
"In the white ball, we missed out very narrowly on a quarter-final place this year. There's no reason why we shouldn't be competing for all three trophies."

Head coach Alan Richardson described Hose as a "genuine asset" to the squad, saying he had grown into one of its "most dependable and valued figures".

"He has had a really tough and frustrating couple of years battling through injuries, but his resilience to fightback is very telling and says a lot about his character," Richardson added.

Hose is the second Worcestershire player to agree a new deal this month, after wicketkeeper-batter Gareth Roderick signed on until 2028.
