Barcelona star Alejandro Balde has entered the sights of Juventus ahead of the January transfer window, with the Italian club understood to be exploring a mid-season loan for the left-back.

The interest comes as Balde faces a hugely challenging start to the campaign in Catalonia. Sitting behind João Cancelo in the left-back pecking order in Hansi Flick’s squad, the 22-year-old has been afforded a grand total of just 12 minutes of playing time.

After a summer packed with speculation surrounding his future, Balde has now been linked with a potential January exit from Barcelona.

As per a report from Diario Sport, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at left-back in Turin:

‘Juventus, a team that are looking for a left-footed specialist for January, have already sounded out the possibility of a loan.’

It remains to be seen if Barcelona are willing to sanction a temporary departure for Balde, but Hansi Flick, for one, is ‘open to an exit’.
