Nicolas Raskin 'mentally ready to leave' Rangers as James Penrice eyes Scotland call-up
Raskin reveals exit mindset
Belgium midfielder Nicolas Raskin has admitted he was "mentally ready to leave" Rangers right up until the last few hours of the transfer window.
Speaking to Sporza and HLN, Raskin said the situation was "beyond my control and that of the club" as he reflected on a summer of uncertainty at Ibrox.
"I was mentally ready to leave right up until the last few hours of the window, but it was beyond my control and that of the club."
The midfielder remains focused on the campaign ahead despite the speculation that surrounded his future.
Penrice eyes Scotland recognition
Meanwhile, Rangers defender James Penrice retains hopes of playing for Scotland but admits a call-up so soon after moving to Ibrox from AEK Athens "hasn't really taken up my focus".
Penrice, who joined Rangers from the Greek club, says he is concentrating on establishing himself at his new club before any international thoughts take hold.
