Despite already establishing himself as one of European football's most electrifying wingers and possessing an enviable trophy collection at a tender age, the Spanish international remains dedicated to perfecting his craft on the training ground.

Sharpening Set-Pieces and Finishing

Speaking to France Football, the teenage attacker detailed his current training ground priorities and his determination to maximize his vast potential.

“I try to work on everything. The good thing about being a young player like me is that you can always learn; you have plenty of time ahead of you,” Yamal explained. “Right now, I’m practising free kicks; I know I have room for improvement there. Actually, I work on all aspects: finishing, everything the coach sees I can improve. I enjoy playing football; it’s not just training.”

Ambitious Targets for Club and Country

Yamal also highlighted his mindset when approaching every new season, revealing a self-driven ambition to outperform his previous statistical benchmarks year after year.

“At the beginning of every season, I always try to improve. I tell myself: ‘If I did 200 dribbles last season, this season I’m going to try to do 300. If I scored 20 goals, I’m going to try to score 30,’” he added. “I think that, little by little, I’m going to progress in that aspect. I want to win more titles, I want to win with Barça. It’s true that I’ve started very well. I’m also trying to get closer to the penalty area, run more, and keep improving.”

His dedication has already translated into a blistering run of form for the Catalan giants, with Yamal racking up eight goals and six assists across his first eight appearances in all competitions this season.
