The BCCI has postponed a joint review meeting with Indian Premier League franchise owners, broadcasters and host state associations that was scheduled for October 15 in Mumbai. No replacement date or venue has been announced.

The meeting had been set for 6 p.m. at the Taj Santacruz. In a communication to stakeholders, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said the postponement was prompted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s planned felicitation of the Indian men’s and women’s teams for their performances at the recently concluded 20th Asian Games. BCCI officials are expected to attend the ceremony in New Delhi.
“Additionally, requests have been received from various stakeholders seeking a postponement of the meeting,” Saikia wrote, adding that the revised date and venue would be communicated in due course.
The board said the decision was made to facilitate maximum in-person participation and expressed regret for any inconvenience caused. The October 15 gathering had been planned as a review involving IPL franchises, broadcasters and the associations responsible for hosting matches.
