Aston Villa crush Fenerbahce 6-0 as Jackson and Barkley hit doubles
Villa run riot on Champions League return
Aston Villa produced a commanding performance to beat Fenerbahce 6-0 at Villa Park, with Nicolas Jackson and Ross Barkley each scoring twice in a one-sided Champions League match.

Johan Manzambi gave Villa the lead in the 12th minute when his shot took a deflection off Fenerbahce captain Milan Skriniar. After Zion Suzuki denied Vedat Muriqi, Jackson struck twice before half-time, finishing chances in the 31st and 39th minutes to put Unai Emery’s side firmly in control.
Barkley and Abraham complete the rout
Manzambi won a penalty in the 68th minute, which Barkley converted. Four minutes later Barkley added his second with a left-footed effort that also took a deflection. Tammy Abraham, introduced as a substitute, completed the scoring in the 90th minute after Alysson set him up.
Fenerbahce threatened briefly, with Oguz Aydin hitting the crossbar, but Villa controlled the contest after building their first-half lead. Jackson’s brace continued an encouraging start at Villa Park: the report noted he had also scored in each of his previous two Premier League appearances and had three goals in two Champions League matches.
The result gave Villa a second win from two Champions League matches. Their fans welcomed the occasion with a tifo celebrating the club’s European story, and the team delivered a resounding performance to match it.
