Impressive Rana prioritizes skill over pace
Bangladesh Pacer Nahid Rana Shines in ODI Debut
Bangladesh's pace bowling sensation, Nahid Rana, has made a significant impact in his maiden five-wicket haul against Pakistan in the three-match ODI series opener at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Rana's impressive performance helped Bangladesh secure an eight-wicket victory.

Rana, who became the first Bangladeshi pacer to pick up the first five wickets of an innings, removed key Pakistani batters, reducing them to 69 for 5. In a post-match interview, Rana emphasized the importance of skill over pace in international cricket.
"Honestly, I don't think too much about speed. In international cricket, skill matters more than pure pace," Nahid told reporters. "So I am trying to work more on improving my skills," he added, crediting Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed for their guidance.
Rana also praised pace bowling coach Shaun Tait, describing him as an outstanding coach who provides valuable guidance and motivation. Pakistan head coach Mike Hesson was impressed with Rana's bowling, stating that he was exceptional and changed the game's dynamics.
