Palmowski extends championship lead with flawless Zandvoort display

Alisha Palmowski converted her fourth pole position of the campaign into a fourth race win, producing a commanding display in the F1 ACADEMY Feature Race at Zandvoort to stretch her lead at the top of the Drivers' Standings.

The Red Bull Racing driver did just enough to keep second-placed Alba Larsen behind her at the race start, before the pair duelled for the majority of the race. Despite relentless pressure from Larsen, Palmowski managed to stay ahead and claim her fourth victory of the 2026 season while extending her advantage in the standings.

Larsen continued her podium streak with second place, banking valuable points that move her up to fourth in the title race. Nina Gademan made it a double podium for the second straight day for herself and MP Motorsport as she rounded out the top three.

Battle for points heats up behind the leaders

Further back, Natalia Granada found herself under sustained pressure from Emma Felbermayr for much of the race, but the Sephora driver held on to fourth, with the Audi driver forced to settle for fifth place.

Megan Bruce and Rachel Robertson finished sixth and seventh respectively, while Ella Lloyd charged from 11th to eighth during the opening laps to collect valuable points. Saturday's first-time Reverse Grid Race winner Payton Westcott had to settle for ninth after a closely fought battle with Lloyd, and Esmee Kosterman took the final point to cap a double points-scoring weekend for the LEGO Racing driver.

Championship picture looks ahead to Austin

With the victory, Palmowski now holds a 48-point lead over Felbermayr in the Drivers' Standings. Felbermayr will be looking to fight back when Round 5 heads to the Circuit of The Americas in Austin takes place on October 22-25.
