Xavi Takes Over from Koeman with Contract Through to 2030 World Cup

Former Barcelona manager Xavi Hernández has been appointed as the new head coach of the Netherlands men's national team, the KNVB has confirmed.

The 46-year-old Spanish coach takes over from Ronald Koeman and has agreed a contract that runs through to the 2030 World Cup, giving him a long-term mandate to lead the Dutch national team into a new era.

Xavi, a legendary midfielder who won multiple titles with Barcelona and Spain during his playing days, transitioned into management after retiring. He previously coached Barcelona, where he guided the club to domestic success before departing the role.
