West Ham cruised to a 6-0 win over nine-man Lincoln with Tomas Soucek scoring twice, while Southampton beat Norwich 1-0, Portsmouth came from 2-0 down to beat 10-man Sheffield United 3-2 and QPR thrashed Derby 4-1 in Championship action.
West Ham were held to a 1-1 draw by QPR at London Stadium after Jarrod Bowen missed a late penalty and a follow-up header was tipped onto the post. The result denies Nuno Espirito Santo’s side the chance to leapfrog Swansea City at the top of the Championship.
West Ham United missed the chance to go top of the Sky Bet Championship after being held to a 1-1 draw by Queens Park Rangers at the London Stadium on Friday night. Pierce Charles saved Jarrod Bowen's 91st-minute penalty and tipped Arne Engels' rebound onto the crossbar. Bowen had earlier cancelled out Nicolas Madsen's controversial first-half spot-kick, but the Hammers were also on the wrong end of a penalty decision against Tomas Soucek that no VAR could overturn.
