Erling Haaland has been left out of Manchester City's starting line-up for Tuesday's Champions League clash with AEK Athens as he recovers from an injury sustained against Ipswich. Teenager Floyd Samba leads the line in his place, with Phil Foden, Rayan Cherki and Allan supporting.
Phil Foden scored his first Manchester City hat-trick since April 2024 as Enzo Maresca's side hammered AEK Athens 5-1 at the Etihad to claim a second Champions League win of the campaign. Elliot Anderson and Rayan Cherki also scored, with Erling Haaland left on the bench and 17-year-old Floyd Samba deputising up front.
