Old Soccer Meets New Football: South Melbourne and Melbourne Victory Square Off in Landmark Australia Cup Final
South Melbourne and Melbourne Victory meet in the Australia Cup final at AAMI Park on Saturday before a capacity crowd of around 28,000, in a clash that pits the 'old soccer' tradition of the former National Soccer League against the A-Leagues era. The fixture is set to be the tournament's best-attended final, with the crowd expected to be split evenly and an upset considered a realistic possibility.
