Gill had been unwell, leading to his absence from the ongoing Duleep Trophy, and was recuperating in Chandigarh. Squad Assembly and Training Schedule

The rest of the Indian squad is slated to assemble in Dubai on September 4th. Players will be joining from their respective locations, rather than traveling as a single unit.
