In a dominant performance at the United Arab Emirates T20I Tri-Series 2025, Pakistan secured their second consecutive win by defeating the UAE by 31 runs. The victory was powered by explosive batting from Saim Ayub and Hasan Nawaz, who contributed significantly to Pakistan's formidable total of 207 runs in 20 overs.

Pakistan's Batting Masterclass

Opting to bat first, Pakistan got off to a strong start despite losing Sahibzada Farhan early. Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman provided an aggressive opening, particularly in the PowerPlay, with Ayub smashing 69 off just 38 balls. After Zaman's dismissal, Ayub continued to dismantle the UAE bowling attack. Though he was eventually out for 69, his innings, along with Hasan Nawaz's rapid 56 off 26 balls, propelled Pakistan's score. Nawaz's fiery knock included six sixes, and their partnership of 57 runs off 25 deliveries was crucial. Pakistan crossed the 200-run mark, setting a challenging target for the UAE.

UAE's Valiant Chase Falls Short

In response, the UAE's chase began brightly with opener Muhammad Waseem scoring aggressively. However, Pakistan's bowlers, particularly Mohammad Nawaz who took two crucial wickets, managed to contain the UAE. Waseem's departure for 33 and a subsequent wicket in the same over by Mohammad Nawaz put the UAE on the back foot. Despite a valiant effort from Asif Khan, who scored a blistering 77 off 35 balls with six boundaries and six sixes, the UAE fell short. Asif Khan's efforts were commendable, but Pakistan's bowlers, including Hasan Ali who took 3 wickets, held their nerve. Pakistan ultimately restricted UAE to 176/8, sealing a comprehensive 31-run victory.

The win reinforces Pakistan's strong form in the tournament and sets the stage for their next match.
