Nina Gademan Secures Maiden F1 Academy Victory at Zandvoort

Alpine's Nina Gademan made history at the Zandvoort circuit, securing her maiden victory in F1 Academy's Race 1. Leading every lap of her home race, the Dutch driver showcased exceptional skill and composure to take the win, coinciding with her 22nd birthday.

The race was not without drama. Early on, Red Bull Ford's Chloe Chambers and Mercedes driver Doriane Pin engaged in a fierce battle, with Chambers accusing Pin of forcing her wide, which cost her several positions. The Safety Car was deployed after Tina Hausmann, supported by Aston Martin, collided with the barriers after hitting a board.

Upon the restart, Gademan maintained her lead, while a mistake from Pin allowed McLaren's Ella Lloyd and championship contender Maya Weug to advance. Weug, in particular, challenged for second place but ultimately finished third. Lloyd secured fourth, with Chambers and Pin rounding out the top six. Alisha Palmowski (Red Bull Racing) and Emma Felbermayr (Kick Sauber) completed the points finishers.

Weug, currently in championship contention, is now focused on delivering another strong performance in Race 2, scheduled for Sunday.
