McLaren Dominates Dutch Grand Prix Qualifying as Piastri Secures Pole
In a nail-biting Dutch Grand Prix qualifying session at Zandvoort, Oscar Piastri of McLaren clinched pole position, narrowly beating his teammate Lando Norris by a mere 0.012 seconds. The Australian driver posted a blistering lap time of 1m 08.662s in his initial Q3 run, a performance that neither he nor Norris could surpass in their final attempts.

Piastri described his pole lap as "the definition of peaking at the right time" and noted the challenges posed by the windy conditions at Zandvoort. "It felt pretty good," Piastri said. "With the wind being so strong, some places never feel perfect. But it was a good improvement from every other lap this weekend."
Norris, despite narrowly missing out on pole, expressed confidence in McLaren's race pace. "It’s been close all weekend," Norris said. "I’m a little disappointed, but it’s a great result for the team."
Meanwhile, Max Verstappen, who qualified third, praised his team for improving his car's performance. "Qualifying was the best I’ve felt all weekend," Verstappen said. "To be P3 here, I’m very happy."
The session also saw a red flag caused by Alex Albon and notable performances from drivers like Isack Hadjar, who achieved a career-best fourth place for Racing Bulls.
