Jayant Yadav's Journey: From Haryana Stalwart to Puducherry's New Asset

Jayant Yadav's move to Puducherry marks a significant juncture in the career of the seasoned Indian offspinner. Having been a cornerstone for Haryana since his first-class debut in 2011-12, the 35-year-old is now seeking new opportunities to play across all three formats of the game, an aspiration that led him to secure a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from his former team.

The competitive landscape within Haryana's squad, particularly the rise of spin all-rounders Nishant Sindhu and Rahul Tewatia, had limited Yadav's white-ball appearances since Haryana's victory in the 2023-24 Vijay Hazare Trophy. This shift prompted Yadav to explore avenues where he could contribute consistently in all forms of cricket.
