Sri Lanka completed a dominant 2-0 ODI series sweep against Zimbabwe, securing a thrilling five-wicket victory in the second and final match held in Harare. Chasing a target of 278, Sri Lanka reached the total with just three balls to spare, courtesy of a magnificent century by Pathum Nissanka and a blistering half-century from Charith Asalanka.

Zimbabwe's Competitive Total
Zimbabwe, after being asked to bat first, set a challenging total of 277 for 7 in their 50 overs. Ben Curran laid a solid foundation with a composed 79 off 95 balls, while Sikandar Raza provided the late fireworks, scoring a rapid 59 off 55 deliveries. Dushmantha Chameera was the standout bowler for Sri Lanka, claiming three wickets for 52 runs, with Asitha Fernando also contributing with two crucial scalps.
Sri Lanka's Chase Led by Nissanka
In pursuit of the target, Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka was the hero of the day, smashing a brilliant 122 off 136 balls, which included 16 boundaries. He forged key partnerships, first adding 78 runs with Sadeera Samarawickrama and then a decisive 90-run stand with Charith Asalanka. Asalanka played a pivotal supporting role, blazing his way to 71 off just 61 balls, keeping the required run rate in check.
The match saw some late drama as Richard Ngarava picked up two wickets in the 45th and 49th overs, but Kamindu Mendis and Janith Liyanage held their nerve to guide Sri Lanka to victory with three balls remaining.
