Leicester City Part Ways with Manager Amandine Miquel Ahead of WSL Season
Leicester City has made the surprising decision to part ways with manager Amandine Miquel and assistant manager Amaury Messuwe, with both departures taking effect immediately. Miquel, who was appointed at the start of the 2024-25 season, led the Foxes to their best-ever Women's Super League (WSL) finish, securing 10th place with 20 points from 22 matches—finishing 10 points clear of relegated Crystal Palace.

Despite this achievement, the club has opted to move in a new direction for the upcoming season. Leicester's WSL campaign is scheduled to begin on September 7 with a match against Manchester United, followed by fixtures against Liverpool and Chelsea.
In an official statement, the club expressed their gratitude to Miquel and Messuwe, saying, "We would like to thank Amandine and Amaury for their hard work and professionalism during their time with the club, and we wish them both the very best in their future endeavors."
The team is currently preparing for the new season under the guidance of the existing coaching staff, with the club expected to announce a new manager shortly.
