Albon Triggers Red Flag in Dutch GP FP2 After Crash at Zandvoort

Alex Albon brought out the second red flag of Free Practice 2 (FP2) at the Dutch Grand Prix after crashing at Turn 1 of the Zandvoort circuit. With a third of the session remaining, Albon suffered a heavy lock-up, causing his car to slide into the barriers.

The impact caused significant front-wing damage to Albon's car. His attempts to rejoin the track proved unsuccessful, and he became beached, forcing the session to be halted. At the time of the incident, Albon was positioned 15th on the timing sheets.

The red flag incident followed an earlier disruption caused by a separate crash at Turn 3, further complicating the session for teams and drivers. Despite these setbacks, Lando Norris managed to set the pace, showcasing strong performance in the disrupted session.

Teams will now analyze the data from FP2 to prepare for the upcoming qualifying session, with hopes of avoiding further incidents on the challenging Zandvoort circuit.
